In Septemeber of 2014 the intrepid pioneers of Troop 618 went back in time to the 1830's, to meet up with other pioneers in a Mountain Man Rendezvous at Fort Pico Blanco. Period regalia was worn by our brigade, candles were hand dipped, ropes were twisted from twine, fry bread was fried and enjoyed by all, flashlights were replaced by candle lanterns, black powder rifles were shot, hawks and knives were thrown, meals were prepared from scratch using only campfires for cooking, and shelter was made with lashed poles, tarps and ropes. Many fabulous prizes were won by our brigade, and a bully time was had by all!
