In September of 2013 the intrepid pioneers of Troop 618 went back in time to the 1830's, to meet up with other pioneers in a Mountain Man Rendezvous at Fort Pico Blanco. Period regalia was worn, candles were hand dipped, ropes were twisted from twine, logs were sawn by hand, matches were replaced by flint and steel for starting fires, flashlights were replaced by candle lanterns, black powder rifles were shot, hawks and knives were thrown, meals were prepared from scratch using only campfires for cooking, and shelter from the rain was made with only tarps and ropes. A bully time was had by all!
