On Memorial Day 2010 Troop 618 assisted the Elks club in setting up the Avenue of Flags at the Santa Cruz Memorial Cemetery in the morning, and taking them down in the afternoon. This is fun, and a good way to develop some community service hours for your Scout advancement and for school. The Elks do this every Memorial Day, Flag Day, Independence Day and Veterans Day with set up starting at 6:30am, and take down starting at 3:30pm.
